BioElectronics “Try It and Tell Us” Facebook Social Media Program Builds Momentum and User Testimonials

UK Consumers Report ActiPatch® Therapy Reduces Pain, Including Fibromyalgia, Without Drugs

FREDERICK, MD, USA, June 30, 2014 — BioElectronics Corporation (OTC Pink: BIEL), the maker of advanced drug-free consumer medical devices, today announced positive early feedback from its “Try It and Tell Us” social media program in the United Kingdom that has attracted thousands of followers.  The company’s Facebook-based program offers U.K. and Irish consumers free trial devices, delivering a week of therapy, and then surveys them about their experience including self-reported pain personal experience.

The company reported that its “Try It & Tell Us” sample program for United Kingdom and Ireland residents is working well with thousands of 7-day ActiPatch® Therapy samples already shipped.  For first-hand testimonials from the consumers visit www.actipatch.com/testimonials or www.facebook.com/ActiPatch to see what people in the UK and Ireland are saying about the product.    People in London can see the product at “The Back Pain Show” on July 4-6, 2014 in Strand B47, Olympia Grad Hall, W14-8, London.

“We’ve just begun tabulating the feedback, but it is very positive.  Across the board ActiPatch Therapy reduced pain without drugs,” said Ian Rawe, Ph.D., Director of Clinical Research at BioElectronics Corporation.   “While this is only an informal survey, it’s real world experience and we are beginning to see the benefits of ActiPatch Therapy with consumers suffering from long term chronic pain.

“The data exposed another important indication, fibromyalgia, a significant medical issue that causes suffers substantial pain that we have not previously studied in a formal clinical trial.  Of the consumers who identified themselves as fibromyalgia sufferers, 70% said they had significant improvement in their pain levels  — with the average improvement rated as 50% less pain,” Rawe said.  In their testimonials many fibromyalgia sufferers cited specific improvements in localized pain in neck, shoulder and back.

ActiPatch Therapy devices are readily available over-the-counter outside of the US, for approximately $30.00, or $0.04 per hour of therapy. The ActiPatch Therapy product is available at the Boot’s Pharmacies in the U.K. for £19.99.
